These aphorisms relate to a great many number of things. In this instance, I’m focusing on the mind. It’s uniquely capable, while at the same time possibly the most susceptible of all. It parses through all information the human body receives, and gives us thought – both rational and subconscious. It tempers our breathing cadence, helps us wake and fall asleep, and lets us sort through our thoughts.
A steady diet of disastrous events, even if just consumed in the form of news, can be deleterious to its functions. By giving it good input, you’re doing your best to ensure a positive output.
